About David Copenhaver

David Copenhaver is the Partner in the Dallas office of BSB Design, a nationally recognized architectural design and planning firm with offices in major markets across the country. Founded in 1966 the award winning firm of BSB Design has developed innovative breakthroughs in design to help bring architecture to the homes of millions of Americans. As a lead designer at BSB Design, Mr. Copenhaver has been involved in multitude of residential project types, single family production and custom homes, townhomes, apartments, clubhouses, urban infill and mixed use in multiple states. Dave has managed and designed award winning projects throughout the United States, his passion for design combined with his knowledge of and sensitivity to the changing trends of the industry has strengthened his client's ability to bring new and creative ideas to their buyers. Dave has been published in Builder, Professional Builder, and Wall Street Journal. He has been a featured speaker at SEBC, and the Sunbelt Builder Conference in Dallas on multiple occasions. He also spoke at the International Builders Show. Awards have included, The Nationals, Best in American Living Awards: Grand Award, Aurora Awards and McSam Awards. Dave was part of the special design team of designers and architects from BSB Design in developing a unique value-engineered low-cost housing and community design solution that could be built in one day by one family in informal settlements or where large numbers of families lack homes of any substance. Three of the Abõd units have been constructed at the Innovative Housing Hub located in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria.
