About David Cornett

I am a self-directed and driven law enforcement professional with comprehensive accomplishments in my domestic and international career. I am an innovative thinker and demonstrate success while working with cross-functional teams to achieve goals. I started my service to others as a junior firefighter where I grew up in Tennessee. When I turned 18 I joined the fire department as a firefighter and a emergency medical first responder. When I turned 21 I joined the sheriff’s office where I moved up quickly in the ranks. I also served with the ambulance service where I was able to continue to serve others by using my medical skills. I later moved to South Carolina where I continued my domestic law enforcement career with municipal city police departments; again I moved up quickly in the ranks. I have been a S.W.A.T operator since 1994 and a certified instructor/trainer since 1994. I received my continuing education from Walters State Community College, University of Tennessee at Martin, Coastal Carolina University and Horry Georgetown Technical College. I am well versed in international customs and religions. Besides my domestic law enforcement career, I served with the United Nation’s Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), completed two tours with a total of over two years in Afghanistan with Operation Enduring Freedom where I was a mentor to the Afghan Police and a Law Enforcement Professional attached to the US Army. I worked with the International Police Peacekeeping Operations Support (IPPOS) program supported by the United States Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement and served as a Subject Matter Expert working on SCG’s LEEP Jordan/Palestine Project. Besides being a highly recognized, successful law enforcement professional during my domestic law enforcement career and receiving many certificates of Recognition, including one from the United States Marshalls Service, I have been recognized for my accomplishments during my international law enforcement career as well. Along with many other recognitions I received a certificate of recognition for outstanding service while serving with EULEX, I received The Common Security and Defense Service Medal while serving with EULEX. I am a reliable and passionate person who mainly enjoys challenging work. I have a gracious and positive attitude. I served as a Team lead for TetraTech on the TPU/SIS Program In Abuja, Nigeria. I am currently the Training Manager for the TPU/SIS Program in Abuja, Nigeria, employeed by Alutiiq.
