About David Cowley
After undertaking contract grants assessing for the WEL Energy Trust about 12+ years ago this grew to part time employment then full time as Grants Manager about 9 years ago. This year (2023) I am working part-time (4 days pw). My background was initially in social work and community development with government departments and community organisations. I then established and managed a leading PTE and became very active in community based education. This led on to about 15 years of successful consultancy work. This work initially focused on development, management and quality assurance work with PTEs, but soon branched out into research, facilitation, advisory, training/mentoring brokerage mainly in the social services sector. More recently (with my employment) the focus has been on philanthropy and grants management work. However consultancy work widens the scope of involvement.
