About David D. Lee

Currently, I serve as SVP and CMO at Virginia Hospital Center. Throughout my time at VHC I've performed in multiple executive roles, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors for 8 years and President of the Medical Staff for 3 years. I'm very personable, and I make it my mission to meet and get acquainted with all medical and support staff throughout the campus. On a professional level, my goal is to drive excellence initiatives throughout each department, while focusing on advanced automations, new business channels, and improved efficiencies that build an ever-growing and resilient health care facility. I establish this in part by promoting JVs and promoting the introduction of new clinical services and equipment that promotes VHC's value to patients. Virginia Hospital Center is an award-winning, Top 100 hospital in the nation. Despite its accolades, there are many more improvements required to promote various initiatives throughout the hospital, including: Expand community outreach/education and focus on vulnerable and underserved populations. Grow joint ventures to expand and improve clinical services and patient care. Broaden the mentorship program that encourages students to choose a profession in healthcare. Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion outreach, initiatives, and programs. Expand participation of physician populations, multispecialty groups, and contract physician groups. Manage VHC relationship with Mayo Clinic through the Mayo Clinical Care Network activities. Enhance education at VHC by hosting visiting faculty from Mayo Clinic, UVA and Horty Springer Medical Staff Education
