At Carter Broadcast Group my primary responsibility is to provide advertising, digital and sponsorship sales to all types of direct clients, local / national advertising agencies and industries. My responsibilities include both telephone and personal sales calls, as well as attending meetings and seminars on behalf of Carter Broadcast Group, where I have the opportunity to meet with clients and talk about the benefits of advertising and sponsoring events with Carter Broadcast Group. I call on both clients and the advertising agencies that represent clients. My responsibilities also include following up after the sale by preparing necessary paperwork and making sure that the required files and materials are supplied to Carter Broadcast Group by the client. Some of my days are spent in the office doing paperwork and making phone calls. On a routine sales trip I might make three to four sales calls in one city in a single day. Since I have represented 15-18% of Carter Broadcast Group total revenue. It is a huge responsibity and I’m always up to the challenge year in year out. The best part of my job is working with people and helping my clients make their sales goals and objectives. A huge misconception is that sales people will sell you anything, whether you need it or not. This is simply not the case with me personally. I’m sensitive to the needs of our clients and respect their business because we as a company want the same in return.
