About David de Jager

Experienced, independent and dedicated consultant and programme manager in the area of renewable energy policies, technologies and markets. By learning from the market introduction and further deployment of renewable energy technologies, I provide consultancy and management services on technologies and policies to industry, governments, and non-governmental organisations. Since May 2018 I am acting as Director of GROW, a consortium of around 20 leading and committed partners in offshore wind energy that have agreed on knowledge exchange and intense cooperation. The consortium works to reduce the costs of offshore wind and to increase the value in both the energy- and ecosystem. Research institutes and companies active across the entire offshore wind value chain will bring their innovations to the market. For more than 26 years I've worked for Ecofys, an international consultancy on energy and climate, with a strong focus on renewable energy and climate change mitigation. From 2008 to 2017 I was acting as Operating Agent for the International Energy Agent Technology Collaboration Programme on Renewable Energy Technology Deployment. Furthermore, I was involved in the IPCC process as co-editor and coordinating lead author of the IPCC/TEAP Special Report on Ozone and Climate, and as Review Editor for the IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy and Climate Change Mitigation.
