David de Min is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for innovation whose previous tech venture was backed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. With over 16 years’ experience in residential and commercial property, David is now building ‘The Citadel’ a £100m project renovating UK’s largest Napoleonic Era Fortress, regenerating one of the last under developed seaside towns. David purchased The Citadel from the Ministry of Justice through Savills after four years of rallying in parliament and a competitive tender process. David has received a grant of over £1.8 million from The Government’s ‘Getting Building Fund’ for The Citadel. With The support of Natalie Elphick, Dover District Council “DDC”, Kent County Council, Historic England and world class consultants. “I have always held sustainability at the forefront of any of my ventures, I founded Smarter Materials Group to bring more sustainable methods of construction to the UK market obtaining licenses of several game changing technologies rolling them out into the UK market. Smarter Materials Group will hold a key role in building The Citadel in a sustainable way.” The Citadel is a culmination of David’s businesses and visions including Techfort – a haven for start-ups.
