About David Debonis
After earning my Master's degree from Penn State University in 1981, I worked full time for 11 years doing clinical audiology. In 1993, I was asked to interview for an open faculty position in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and was hired. In 1998, with the support of the College. I earned my Doctorate in Educational Psychology. I am still working at the college and enjoying it very much. While working at the College I have been able to continue to work as an audiologist part time at Sunnyivew Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Currently on leave from the hospital, I am interested in investigating other part time options to use my skills and supplement my income. My work has provided me with numerous opportunities in teaching, writing, research, and leadership and I would like to use these skills in new and creative ways.
