About David Dickson

My interests are varied but focus on the improvement of society and its members. Always concerned that the Constitution of our nation will be preserved, I have worked anxiously in the community, region, state, and nation for candidates, who profess and practice respect for the nation’s founding and its principles of maintaining freedom for the individual to advance as far as possible in making our society one that is a beacon of hope for all individuals. I believe that the right of every person to exercise his/her freedom for the good of the commonwealth of a nation is God-inspired and solely by Him initiated. I have found great joy in being a soccer coach for youth, an instructor for photography in the 4-H program, an adviser to foreign students at college, a tutor for students seeking a law degree, and an English as well as German teacher-collaborator for young people seeking to improve their skills at college-level writing and speaking. Nothing has given me greater joy than having a family—dutiful parents, a loyal wife, highly motivated and gifted children, exemplary grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Recognizing the role Jesus Christ plays in my life has been of the greatest help in all I have ever done. I believe that God loves all His children equally and that my duty is to practice as much as possible the teachings shared with us by His beloved Son, the savior of mankind. When it comes to books that have influenced me the most in all areas I have pursued, one book of the many I have read and studied stands out with such idealistic, ethical, moral, and vindicated veracity that I would want to share it with everyone, shouting its praises at how to deal with all situations in life, how to come to understand the purpose of life, and how to relate to a higher power, whose love and devotion for His children is unparalleled in the annals of history. It is the Book of Mormon.
