Born into humble beginnings and raised in a bustling city where opportunities were few and far between, I learned early on the value of resilience, hard work, and determination. Raised by a single mother with no formal education, I faced the harsh realities of urban life where success often seemed out of reach, and learned early on the value of resilience, hard work, service, and the power of perseverance and determination to overcome obstacles. My journey led me to a life of service as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician in the Marine Corps. In this role, I faced adversity head-on, tasked with defusing volatile situations and keeping others safe in the most dangerous environments. Through rigorous training and pursuit of perfection, I honed my skills in problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making under pressure. In the crucible of my service, I underwent a profound transformation, where the intensity of my experiences instilled in me a deep sense of empathy, compassion, and objectivity. Despite the inherent dangers of my job, I chose to see the positive side of people, believing in their capacity for growth, redemption, and resilience. In every interaction, whether defusing explosives or collaborating with colleagues, I approach each situation with objectivity and a commitment to finding solutions that served the greater good. I embrace diversity of thought, and recognize the value of different perspectives in achieving common goals. Now, as I transition to the civilian world, I bring a wealth of experiences and lessons learned. My journey has taught me the importance of adaptability, lifelong learning, and finding purpose in every endeavor. I am driven by a passion for making a positive impact, whether it's through mentoring others, giving back to my community, or pursuing opportunities for growth and innovation.
