About David Dimella

Hello there! I am a recent graduate at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University studying Aerospace Engineering. My passion for both flying and auto racing began at an early age, and lead to my achievements as an IFR rated personal pilot. My specific field of study in aerodynamics has driven my interest in working to design and improve efficiency in machines and systems. My latest project involves stability analysis for a private jet. Hand calculations as well as digital DATCOM methods helped to analyze the directional, lateral, and pitch stability of a Learjet 24. As the Vice President of the Riddle Off-Roaders Club, I was responsible for the planning, coordinating and logistics of trips to off-road destinations throughout the state of Florida. In addition, I enjoyed assembling a team to compete in a Gambler 500 race, an off-road rally style navigational adventure, in which my team was a first place finisher. I would like to pursue a career as an engineer in the aviation or automotive industries. I look forward to embracing my future in this field.
