About David Dobbie

I am part of an experienced, professional and hardworking team that drive the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the College. My role is responsible for the financial management of the College, including the implementation of appropriate systems of internal controls, that support the extensive compliance framework required in a school. The financial management includes the raising and collection of fees, development of budgets, monitoring of performance against budget and other KPIs, overseeing all finance functions, contract negotiations and performance management and all elements of financial reporting and compliance. In addition to the financial aspects of my role, I am also responsible for the maintenance of facilities and protection of assets. Project management is a critical skill set particularly in relation to the construction of new buildings and infrastructure. Various other aspects of the role include other administrative areas of the College from public relations, communications, information technology, marketing and branding, fund raising and events and staff management. I have been actively involved in leading change across all these areas, which has seen the successful implementation and continued development of the College website, College App and rebranding projects as well as many other positive initiatives. The success of these projects is the result of the great team that I have around me, which have embraced this change. The key focus in all of these areas is on customer service, which includes all members of our College community, from students and their families, staff, support groups, sponsors and donors, contractors and the broader community. I am honoured to be associated with and contribute to the leadership of such a great College, and surround myself with all the wonderful people in the College community.
