About David Donagh

Primary School Teacher with a Professional Master of Education Degree from Hibernia College. I work as a Mainstream Class Teacher in Scoil Cholmcille SNS in Kells, Co Meath but am currently seconded to the Irish National Teachers Organisation (INTO). I have previously worked as a Special Education Teacher in Bohermeen NS in Co Meath. Currently, I am studying a Masters in Education & Training Management (e-learning) in DCU. I began this journey in September 2023 and aim to be finished in May 2025. Additionally, in November 2024, I began studying for a Diploma in Education Law in the Law Society of Ireland. I have completed a postgraduate diploma in Special & Inclusive Education at DCU. The specialist modules I chose were Autism, Dyslexia & Understanding Behaviour as Communication along with Inclusion for pupils with SEN. I am a hardworking, motivated and energetic individual with a drive to see things through to completion while getting the best out of those around me. I have a clear, logical mind with an innovative approach to teaching and problem solving. I am always eager to learn and enjoy overcoming challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy volunteering with various organisations and currently hold a variety of important roles in organisations including Link Credit Union, Irish National Teachers Organisation, Irish League of Credit Unions, Society of St. Vincent DePaul, Kingscourt Community Development Association. To unwind, I play GAA & soccer for my local clubs in Kingscourt along with running and cycling.
