Have evolved with the network industry over the past 30 years. VTAM/NCP programmer for several years. Early adopter (beta tester) for IBM's token-ring LAN, IBM data cabling, enterprise LAN gateways, etc. Migrated to the Ethernet world, channel extenders (NSC and Cisco routers). Have designed and implemented every type of Ethernet/TCP/IP campus network from multiple vendors; 3Com, IBM, Brocade, Arista, Cisco, DEC, Alantec, Synoptics (Bay Networks/Nortel), and many others. Followed the industry evolution of Ethernet from baseband systems, thinnet systems to the early concentrators, 1st generation ethernet switches to the high performance environment we have today. Been the primary disaster recovery network focal for Boeing for the Enterprise for 12 years. Collaborate at the Enterprise level on many key and urgent programs as necessary. Currently evaluating data center 10GbE and 40GbE offerings to suitability and performance.
