About David Dorward

I loved serving as a very busy Alberta MLA and Cabinet Minister 2012-2015. In 1994 I started a CA firm that now has offices in Edmonton and Calgary and 35 staff. I founded and together with my Board raised $40M and built the Saville Community Sports Centre (GO Centre). I was humbled and honoured to be named one of the top 50 NAIT grads in the first 50 years of NAIT. Another former career highlight was five years as an executive in the banking industry. Presently serving as Board member of the Good Samaritan Society serving over residents and clients. I serve on political boards. I am a Board member of Fairness Alberta. I also serve on the national Board for Play On! Canada who are licensed to deliver mass participant street hockey in centers all over Canada. I'm a proud graduate of NAIT and the U of A and have two accounting designations, Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Fellow of Chartered Accountant (FCA), now an FCPA. I'm married to Janice, have 4 wonderful kids and 18 grandchildren.
