About David Dosu

David Dosu is a CERN researcher, entrepreneur, and educator, working at the intersection of frontier science, education reform, and innovation. He is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland, where he develops algorithms at CERN and teaches emerging research field analysis to graduate students at the University of Geneva. A past Erasmus+ scholar in advanced particle physics—trained across the University of Clermont Auvergne (France), TU Dortmund (Germany), and the University of Bologna (Italy)—David graduated from the University of Benin in Nigeria and quickly became one of Africa’s youngest national student leaders, presiding over physics students across 84 institutions. David ranked in the top 1% of Sub-Saharan African applicants for CERN’s competitive summer school, and later led Nigeria’s first virtual visit to the CMS experiment, coordinating a high-level event that helped secure six-figure funding from the Simons Foundation to formalize a long-term partnership that now selects and sends six top African students to CERN each year—establishing a sustainable pipeline into elite science. He co-founded Idalia Africa with Destiny Ogedegbe, a nonprofit building Africa’s most powerful engine for world-class research and innovation through strategic academic clusters, global internships, and elite training programs. David also runs Edesah, a fast-growing education technology startup that helps African students prepare compelling application packages for global universities, wrapped in a referral-driven savings model that democratizes access. Relentlessly focused on impact, David’s mission is to infiltrate African societies with intellectual ambition and embed world-class standards into local systems by exporting excellence, then importing it back.
