Over 8 in 10 cardiac arrests occur in public places or at home. The individual experiencing the cardiac arrest could be one of your loved ones, or a complete stranger next to you asking for assistance. It is in you to be that HERO, are you willing to learn and apply this powerful life saving skill to give that person a 2nd Chance? In 2013, I lost my father. My children lost their grandfather and the opportunity to experience and cherish what a GREAT role model he was. A feeling that continuously haunts me, is the fact that no one around him during the time of need was able to recognize the initial signs and symptoms in which he was experiencing; required medical assistance. Early Recognition, Early CPR and Early Defibrillation are the first three links in the Chain of Survival that can increase the chances of survival significantly at any age. 2nd Chance has been ignited, so that you and/or your loved ones will not have to experience this type of loss or hear the words."I just didn’t know what to do."
