Background
About David Dreyer
What I say now: New chapter of life under construction, new stories to be written. What I used to say then. It's been my good fortune, in the words of Tennyson, to be a part of all I've met - from fourteen years of service in the U.S. Congress (including life-changing tenures with leaders with Reps. Andrew Maguire and Tony Coelho, as well as U.S. Senator Gary Hart), on President Clinton's White House staff, and the team that Secretary Bob Rubin built at Treasury. After leaving government, working here at TSD has enabled me to work with entrepreneurs, authors, advocates, public figures and others - as they let loose their ideas on the world (or to shield some clients in crisis when the world lets loose on them). Over the past twenty years, I have been privileged to work in the U.S. and abroad, spending significant time in Europe and Latin America, on assignments that included working at the Sydney and Athens Summer Olympic Games, conducting communications audits for public and private sector organizations, advising the Ecumenical Patriarch of Eastern Orthodoxy, and providing strategic counsel for a continuing public education campaign to change U.S. policy toward Cuba. I am especially proud of the editing and writing credits we've received for our work on "Lean In"[Sheryl Sandberg & Nell Scovell],"Option B"[Sheryl Sandberg & Adam Grant],"The Power of Progress"[John Podesta],"Grace Without God"[Katherine Ozment],"The 51% Driving Growth through Women's Economic Participation"[The Hamilton Project], and "The New Localism"[Bruce Katz & Jeremy Nowak], and the opportunity Mark Ein offered us to provide advice on his acquisition of the Washington City Paper, saving a valued source of local journalism here in D.C.
