I am an entrepreneur, business leader and investor. I historically invest in early stage or smaller enterprises, both financially and managerially, professionalize and grow the companies from concept to going concern, and then look to sell to larger and strategic companies. I have significant experience and expertise in developing companies that provide services or products to businesses, and have focused on growing and building value in those companies regardless of earnings dilution during the development stage. My approach includes creating integrated business systems and processes that streamline all phases of the business from sales to the back office, recruiting key executives, sales and technical personnel, developing marketing programs that bring added value to the customer, and developing and implementing employee compensation plans that effectively align employee motivation with company goals. I have demonstrated the ability to recognize management talent, to create investment opportunities and to develop creative solutions to business problems encountered in the transition from a small to a mid-sized company. My hands-on approach to managing a business includes: developing top management; developing and approving strategy, company direction and ethics; working closely with management to recruit additional personnel with critical skills; strengthening sales and marketing; applying information technology to operating and reporting systems on an integrated basis; and developing strong financing relationships to fuel growth, lower costs and provide enhanced customer value and service. Through this approach I have grown early stage companies into professional organizations with business models that are scalable to accommodate future growth.
