About David Eggert

I earned a Master's degree at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs where I concentrated on economic and political development within the context of peace and security in Eastern Europe. In the course of my academic work, I was awarded a Certificate of Achievement from the Center on Philanthropy of the Fundraising School at Indiana University. Most recently I completed two internships where I worked as an assistant to the editor at the European Institute (EI) and a research associate for the lobbying firm Kinghorn, Hilbert & Associates (KHA). At EI, I focused on policy debates with an emphasis on the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. I was also responsible for writing articles to be published in the organization’s website and monitoring international regulatory legislation. In the winter of 2008, I was the lead research associate for the DC-based KHA. I performed legal research, organized meetings, and provided general administrative support for operations. These opportunities provided me with a wealth of experience working in a fast-paced office within the heart of Washington, DC. I have broad background in public affairs, history, Slavic languages and literature. My international experience includes attending the School for Public and Environmental Affair’s seminar in Europe on the European Union in the 21st Century, prior to which I was a student in Russia for a semester during which I pursued intensive language instruction at the Smolnii Institute in St. Petersburg. I am computer literate, and I traveled extensively throughout Europe. Specialties: Capable of procuring hard-to-find information with internet research on short notice. Write position papers on any subject from any perspective. Provide creative solutions to vexing problems with particular emphasis on administration and scheduling.
