About David Ehrlich

David Ehrlich is the Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Coastal Construction Company, the largest Florida-headquartered general contractor. His practice focuses on contract review and negotiation, dispute resolution, construction litigation, and general corporate law. In 2022, Mr. Ehrlich was named a Top Corporate Counsel by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and inducted as a Fellow into the Construction Lawyers Society of America. He achieved Board Certification in Construction Law from The Florida Bar the same year. In addition to being a licensed attorney, Mr. Ehrlich is also a licensed Certified General Contractor, Real Estate Broker, and Insurance Agent. Before joining Coastal, Mr. Ehrlich practiced in the Atlanta office of an Am Law 100 firm, where he was an Associate on its nationally recognized Construction Practice Team. He later served as Vice President and General Counsel for one of the leading structural steel contractors in the Southeast. Most recently, he was the Associate General Counsel, on the national Major Claims & Litigation Team, for the largest general contractor in the United States. Mr. Ehrlich received his Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, along with his Business Law Certificate, magna cum laude. During his time in law school, Mr. Ehrlich was a member of the Mock Trial Team and also received Florida State University College of Law's Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award. Mr. Ehrlich received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, cum laude. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, cum laude, with a B.S. in Business Management.
