I taught high school and middle school English for 16 years before becoming an administrator. Then I spent 14 years as an AP and Principal at Hastings Middle School. My current role at the District Office allows me to have an even bigger influence on the students and staff at HPS. I will always be a teacher first and an administrator second. As a staff, we can never be satisfied with what we are doing, instead we have to celebrate what we have done and continue to push forward with new ways to reach all students. The demands on teachers and students is changing all the time and it is our responsibility to continue learning and change along with the world around us.
