About David Evans

Throughout my previous and current employment, I have gained invaluable experiences in all aspect of construction, project management and building surveying. I have detailed experience in carrying out periodic property inspections / condition surveys to assess the extent of both current & future planned maintenance liability. I am also able to manage a stock database in order to produce condition reports, analytical and budgetary reports (future works and 30 year cost analysis) for future planned works and improvements. Also, the preparation of scheme designs, working drawings, specifications, schedule of works and tender documentation. I am also able to carry out estimates related to repairs and planned works. I have supervised contracts by carrying out general site inspections, issuing site instructions & monitoring the standard of work undertaken by contractors and generating health and safety plans, method statements and risk assessments. I am also able to undertake bench marking surveys which include; WHQS (Welsh Housing Quality Standards), HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System), RdSAP assessments (Reduced Standard Assessment Procedure) and provide advice, reports, statistical data and recommendations from a portfolio of 2,900+ properties. I am also a qualified domestic energy assessor and carry out assessments in order to lodge EPC’s. I am also able to carry out fire risk assessments and produce reports identifying actions and recommendations for immediate and long term fire management action plans. I am able to identify potential asbestos whilst carrying out asbestos surveys (P402), take samples and co-ordinating and recording lab results within an asbestos register. I am also able to implement positively and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, construction legislation, industry codes of practice and other initiatives including CDM, Health & Safety and Information Security. My readiness to accept and deal effectively with responsibility has been highlighted within my career development. My communication skills have developed considerably through meeting and negotiating with people at all levels. I work effectively both on my own and as part of a team. I consistently demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to my position of employment. I am well motivated, disciplined and reliable. I also sit as a community councillor in my local community and attend regular meetings to discuss and resolve maters that arise within the community.
