About David Farmer

I am EU General counsel at Unison Site Management. Before Unison, I was UK Real Estate Counsel at Getir. Prior to that, I was the Internal Legal Counsel at a financial technology company, iBAN-X SA in Luxembourg. I was previously Corporate Counsel within the Amazon Legal team. I was one of only two real estate lawyers supporting the Global Real Estate and Facilities (‘GREF’) team in EMEA and APAC. I worked on major office deals in London, Manchester and Edinburgh in the UK, and further afield from Dublin to Dubai, and Brisbane to Cape Town. In addition to being a real estate lawyer, I was the lead lawyer for the GREF Design and Construction (D&C) team and the Environment Health and Safety team. Prior to my time at Amazon, I was a Legal Director in Real Estate at Eversheds Sutherland in the UK for over 13 years. I managed a team of five associates, a paralegal and a trainee solicitor. My team worked for clients acquiring retail stores, shopping centres and office buildings, and dealt with all resulted asset management. During my time at Eversheds Sutherland, I also worked as a consultant to Kaplan Altior where I taught the Professional Skills Course to trainee solicitors seeking to practise law in the UK.
