this is all old - need to redo for past decade. I have a passion for automating equipment, devices, reporting, tools, etc - anything you can, really. I've been involved in contributing to several networking SQA automation infrastructures from team user to global architect levels as I worked years into my career. Before a technical career, I am grateful to have experienced a family retail ‘mom-n-pop’ hardware business throughout adolescence years. Learned journeyman apprentice positions of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plus small retail biz aspects (POS and opening closing small brick and mortar biz at 15-17yr). Personally built and supported Mac OS based bar code reader and inventory POS system in HS years(1986-87) before fully adopted in grocery stores. I have the ability to express, listen and communicate effectively to get the job done. Highly proficient at automating while manually testing. My earlier career has been based in SQA automation for R&D telco features. For the last decade+, I've been heavily involved with mesh wireless networking protocols testing in embedded IoT space. Contributing engineer to the Thread 1.0 protocol IETF specification. My earlier telco experience is almost a decade in SQA working on deployed L2/L3 carrier class, multi-service switches. R&D feature automation over dozens of IP/MPLS/ATM/GBE space protocols and industry test equipment. Majority of responsibilities included SDLC testing for numerous L1-L4 protocols as well as growing automation scripts and infrastructure. Additionally, I've always been a central resource for hiring & training, as well as lab principal roles. Specialties:(outdated-redo) SQA automation. JAVA, Silktest, Python, TCL, Perl, tools, languages, bag of tricks. Eclipse, Jenkins, VMware. L2/L3 testing. IP/MPLS Routing and VPN, ATM, QoS/Traffic Management, Ethernet, GBE Ixia, Spirent, Agilent, sniffers, APIs. Currently building a shared team automation infrastructure while focused as a lead role on validating the Thread wireless network protocol.
