David Fischer is a university-educated professional with over 25 years of experience in Information and Communications Technology (ICT). He has extensive expertise in systems architecture and design using Microsoft technologies (cloud, servers, databases, management and automation tools). Experienced in designing, implementing and managing complex environments in private, public and hybrid clouds. He has extensive experience with enterprise systems in backup (especially Veeam Backup and Recovery and HPe Data Protector, HPe MSL LTO tape libraries), disk storage (HPe, Hitachi, Dell), SAN (BroadCom, Cisco), Ethernet (HPe, Dell, F5) and servers (HPe Blade System + ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, Cisco UCS). He holds numerous certifications in on premise and cloud systems and technologies. He has knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), clustering and virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and VMware, Oracle (OLVM), including Azure cloud environments. Demonstrated ability to optimize solutions in enterprise environments including high availability solutions and IT infrastructure security (including disaster recovery scenarios). Ability to develop and implement strategic IT initiatives in support of organizational goals. Strong problem-solving skills and proven track record of delivering robust, scalable and cost-effective solutions. Most recently received a National Security Clearance at the Secret level for the next seven years
