More than 30 years experience in local government, housing associations and regulation. My experience includes- reviewing services and identifying improvements delivery and governance- researching and reporting on national policy development and its context, specific issues to inform strategic approach and service provision- developing strategies and action plans at the organisational and service level- developing improvement methodologies- supporting good governance through ensuring accuracy of regulatory returns, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and industry best practice, training and support- undertaking bespoke projects for executives and senior staff, including a leading role in merger negotiations and providing options papers on threats and opportunities- managing services, including being a chief officer for a large coop- providing policy advice to regulators, government, local authorities and housing providers, influencing national requirements and standards and the strategic direction and service provision at the local level- writing policies, procedures, forensic reports for executives and boards and nationally published reports- developing, improving and providing copy for intranet and internet sites; and - managing colleagues, improvement teams, consultants and volunteers to review, improve and provide sector leading services.
