I graduated from New Mexico Tech with A BSc in Mineral Engineering in December 2009. The following year I was hired on with Freeport McMoRan at the Tyrone Mine in Silver City, New Mexico. I had a multitude of varying job responsibilities including ore control, geotechnical engineering, short range mine planning, and project engineering. In 2014 I was transferred to a corporate office In Oro Valley, Arizona. I worked on strategic long range planning for our North and South American properties. I have been at Freeport's Safford operation since July 2016. While I've been At Safford I have worked on leach pad planning, drilling and blasting, dispatch engineering, and ore control.
