About David Galloway

I was always interested in the mechanical engineering marvel of aviation and with that in hand with my love for working hands-on, I decided to attend Okanagan College and Northern Lights College located in BC Canada for my AME school certification and passed while receiving the award for best attendance in the program. After graduating from OC/NLC with my Aircraft Maintenance Engineering diploma I was hired on at KF Aerospace where I completed my apprenticeship, applied for licensing, and was approved and certified in October 2022 as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - M2 by Transport Canada Since completing my licensing I have completed and been type-certified on the Boeing 737 NG and NG-to-MAX and look forward to learning and becoming more experienced on different types of aircraft as my career continues. They say the AME License is a license to learn and I am glad to say I love diving headfirst into learning about new systems and becoming an expert on every component. With my desire to learn new systems expanding an opportunity to work on the Boeing return-to-service program for the 737MAX for KF Aerospace presented itself. By joining this program, I got an in-depth view and hands-on experience with the broadband satellite communications side of the aviation industry working directly with ViaSat and Panasonic installing KU-Band Antennae for broadband Wi-Fi for in-flight entertainment with United Airlines and Alaska Airlines. I am proud to have been a part of the team that helped deliver KF Aerospace the Top Safety & Quality, Boeing - Supplier of the Year Award through its 737MAX return-to-service program in 2023. KF Aerospace is the only MRO to have won a supplier award from Boeing. After working with Boeing I began diving further and further into the broadband satellite communications ecosystem in aviation and I am happy to announce it led me into my new role as a Technical Support Engineer at SKYTRAC which I began at the start of 2024.
