About David Garcia

I'm a physics engineer with 10+ years of experience in both industrial and academic fields. I have worked on engineering R&D projects for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and as a scientific consultant as well. My research activity in biomechanics have been recognized internationally by an award for its quality and innovation. My main areas of interest are computer science, thermodynamics and solid mechanics. Until recently, I was involved in the software development of automation control panels for Büchi AG, leader in the manufacture of pilot plant equipment and pressure reactors. My fruitful interaction with electronics engineers, application engineers, graphic designers and sales managers was key to the successful launch of the gas flow controller 'bpc 2' in 2015. Previous achieved tasks include the improvement and validation of gas flow calibration processes and reliability testing of magnetic valves and pressure transducers. I speak fluently four languages (French, English, Spanish and German). My education associated to my open and curious mind makes me an efficient and versatile problem-solver. I have a Ph.D. and an engineering physics degree from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). I'm currently looking for new opportunities in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
