Background

About David Gasslander

Until now I have mostly spent my time working with low level software for embedded applications. This is however interesting, and I would appreciate to continue with this. The last couple of years I have started to take more and more interest in PLD/FPGA development which I feel would be interesting to learn more about. Development for ASICs is also something that I feel interests me, even though I don't have any knowledge in this area. During my time at university I did courses in machine-learning with neural networks. This is something that interests me, and I would really like to learn more and develop my skills in this area. Other than that, I have been and probably always will be interested in control systems in one way or the other. Controlling real world applications with computer systems is the far most interesting thing i know. I am a person that likes to dig deep into different areas and really get to know the details. This means that when someone needs help with a problem, I will not stop until I know that I have found the root cause to the problem at hand. Problem solving and helping others are things that drives me to work some extra hours. Other things that would make me push a little harder at work are learning, results, quality and software code structure. High rate of responsibility is another area in my personality. I would simply never let any of my commitments be lost. I will take full responsibility until delivery is done. In the future I see myself with an even deeper knowledge in how CPU/DSP and PLD/FPGA works and runs. I also see myself with knowledge in some new area such as machine-learning or broader and deeper knowledge in different control systems. At my spare time I like to exercise, in the summer time by road bike and in winter time by cross country skiing. Other things I like to do in my spare time is Alpine Skiing, Canoeing and hiking.
