About David Gaul

I am an academic leader, lecturer and researcher dedicated to improving child and adolescent health through evidence-based inquiry and interdisciplinary collaboration. As Head of Discipline in TU Dublin's School of Global Business, I oversee the BA in Sports Management and Coaching, BBS International Business and BA International Business and Languages. My research explores the intersections of child development, injury epidemiology, physical literacy, outdoor play, and health promotion. I’m particularly interested in how environments—both physical and social—shape health outcomes and behaviours in children and young people. My work has been published in leading journals and contributes to national and international conversations on child health and safety.
