About David Ge

David Ge graduated from the University of Technology (UTS), Sydney, in 2017 with a Bachelor of Design in Architecture. He has worked with several construction, design and architecture companies during and after his studies, such as AR-MA, Empire Facades, DesignInc Sydney and one of the world’s largest public art fabricators, UAP (Urban Art Projects). David has extensive experience in various software and programming languages, including Revit, Dynamo, Rhino, Grasshopper and Python, with a focus on digital modelling, computational design, and automation. Throughout his career in computational design, David has been instrumental in a large number of urban design projects, such as: The Hive, Parramatta Square (Sydney); Wynyard Walk pedestrian tunnel (Sydney), Perth Stadium (Perth) and Auckland Gallery Forecourt Commission (New Zealand). He has collaborated with many notable artists, architects and designers, including Rueben Patterson, Lindy Lee, Roland Snooks, Woods Bagot and BVN, among others. As part of his role as Senior Computational Designer at UAP, David was highly involved in the research, development and implementation of robotics, additive manufacturing and AR into creative and bespoke artistic manufacturing. David is currently working as a Senior Computational Designer at Aurecon, where he is exploring new opportunities for applying computational design in civil and structural engineering projects. By expanding the use of computational design into the engineering industry, David is opening up new possibilities for improving and optimising the engineering design process.
