Our mission in the NHS England Primary Care Commissioning central team: To ensure that every person in England gets high quality primary care which represents value for the money of the tax payer. Responsibility to-(with Commissioning Strategy) setting the national direction for primary care within NHS England - Creating the climate for success through effective national relationships, both externally & internally - Creating and running the governance that provides assurance to the board, with appropriate support, intervention & escalation as necessary - Ensuring that commissioners, working with the local teams, design the operating model within NHS England to ensure they have the right tools and policy frameworks to be effective - Advancing the knowledge and understanding of primary care
