About David Gibbs

David is an experienced developer with a focus on data analytics, high performance parallel computing, and creating innovative solutions for large-scale distributed computing areas. While earning his Masters degree, he specialized in graph theory and worked closely with the Personal Robotics Group at the MIT Media Lab, where he focused on building a system to support a large scale deployment of software/hardware for world wide distribution. He worked closely with Georgia State's IS & T department to run complicated and high load work on their super computer and pushed the standard access that students were given, being the first student ever to have root access on university servers. He was featured on the front page of GSU's quarterly magazine for a project he was involved with, leading the data processing team, providing a platform for researchers to analyze complex data. As a software developer he has focused on creating platforms that provide data visualization for social media trends, robust data processing engines for high-volume data ingestion, and stable sites for the finance industry. He currently leads the software development at Snaptech, a boutique software development company, focused on high-performance custom software for a variety of companies ranging from non-profits to large international companies.
