About David Glaser

I have been involved with a wide range and fair number of businesses as an investor, mentor, director or all three! The great majority of these businesses have been successful for shareholders, employees and all those associated with the business but I am leaving most of my commercial interests to one side and now focusing on supporting the charity sector. Started Web Results Direct in specialising in delivering results for clients websites - traffic and conversion of that traffic. Clients range from government and large corporations to SMEs - I now love my role as non-executive Chairman. Working as a non-Executive Director with Michel and Alain Roux at the world-famous Waterside Inn, Bray since 1995, focusing on the financials, marketing, and delivery of consistent high quality food and service. I am a founder Director with Alain Roux of a fabulous brasserie called Roux at Skindles and also sat on the board of Directors of the Roux Scholarship with Michel Roux Jnr, Brian Turner and Alain Roux. After 30 amazing and very special years I retired from "Roux" activity in 2024 - though till enjoy a very happy relationship as a guest! Since 2001 a mentor, investor, and more recently Director and Chairman of Clever Digit Media which builds and operates its own innovative websites, and in particular one focusing on Military Geneaology. The Company was sold to Ancestry in 2021. Since 2016 I have been a trustee and since 2018 Chairman of Finance and Audit for Bohunt Education Trust, a large multi-academy trust operating in south-east England. A pioneering and exciting education strategy which continues to expand and which delivers a great experience for our students and other stakeholders. After 10 years from inception Bohunt had grown considerably, educated some children at secondary school level when I retired from the board of Bohunt in 2024. My goal is simple - to help build organisations and businesses develop into being the highest quality business possible. Size is not everything. Been there, done that. If the products and services are great and provide good value and great quality, then our customers are happy and I am happy. As are shareholders and all stakeholders. Specialties: Internet marketeer, specialising in analytics, search, and conversion marketing; investing and mentoring in businesses and charities; understanding the governance, financials and audit process; harnessing the talent and energy of enthusiastic exciting people and working with them and building the team to all stakeholder's mutual benefit.
