About David Goodson

I started my career at Cablevision I was a production tech working all position associated with studio and live sports production (camera operator, graphic operator, technical directing, direction, audio, lighting, editing, etc.). I also was an ENG cameraman for our daily newscast. I ultimately was the Producer/Director of our unit’s live remote sporting events. I also engineered and built two remote production trucks. I produced/directed hundreds of live sporting events and studio shows including Rutgers University Basketball, Brooklyn Cyclones, and Atlantic League Baseball. I was the Digital Production Manager for Kultur International Films. My responsibilities were encoding many types of video for DVD’s and streaming. Graphic Arts work for DVD menus, animations, and the web using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, AfterEffects, and Fireworks. I authored DVD’s on Sonic Scenarist. I was responsible for all aspects of our DVD production. I also managed our online streaming library with Limelight Networks. I have a working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I was our resident computer expert and was in charge of IT. I’m very computer literate in both software and hardware I can take any project from the preproduction stage thru to the final output. Identifying what must be done, needed manpower, budgeting, purchasing equipment, setting up a competent work flow and then managing (as well as working on) a project is what I excel at. I am highly intelligent and a very fast learner. I am a strong leader but can follow as well. I work well with teams as well as by myself. I am also very proficient on most Microsoft Office programs. I have experience on 35mm film crews.I was the Assistant Camera Operator on Arri film cameras. No one who ever hired me was ever sorry about it! I am looking for a company that I have a future to grow with.
