I practice complex commercial litigation in state and federal court, primarily in New Jersey and New York, focusing on such areas as shareholder & partnership disputes; trusts & estates litigation; consumer class action defense; employment disputes (including restrictive covenants, discrimination, and reverse discrimination issues); and real estate matters (including foreclosure and other mortgage-related issues), among others. Prior to joining Orloff, Lowenbach, Stifelman & Siegel, P.A, practiced commercial litigation at two New York firms and clerked in Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division. I am active in the profession, including through the New Jersey State Bar Association Special Committee on Equity Jurisprudence and the New York State Bar Association Commercial and Federal Litigation Section and the Committee on Legislative and Judicial Initiatives. Some disputes can be resolved favorably before suit is filed or settled early in the action. Others require patient and deliberate use of the full array of litigation tools over time to grind down recalcitrant opposition. While each case is different, achieving the best result at the earliest stage always calls for the development of a creative and practical strategy, careful gathering and analysis of the facts, and excellent research and preparation in order to be in the best position to conduct each round of negotiations or legal battle. Our litigation team brings this approach to every matter. Though relatively compact and very entrepreneurial, we are deeply experienced and highly credentialed. We also draw on the expertise of the similarly skilled and established colleagues working alongside us, including in our transactional, real estate, and trusts & estates practice groups.
