Throughout my career, I have demonstrated strong leadership skills during both celebratory and challenging times. As an ethical, effective, and resourceful leader, I have successfully navigated periods of transition and crisis with calm and steady guidance, always focusing on student success and ensuring a supportive learning environment. My focus as a student-centered leader has been on building, coaching, and leading high-performing teams to deliver excellence. Leveraging my extensive experience in project management, financial management, assessment, strategic planning, and communication, I have driven innovation and achieved positive outcomes. In addition to my administrative roles, I have also served as a classroom instructor on the undergraduate and graduate levels, further deepening my understanding of the educational landscape and the evolving needs of students. Some of my notable achievements include improving staff morale and enhancing collaboration during times of change and transition, providing guidance to university leadership on student issues and organizational structure, leading effectively during crises, reconceptualizing divisional operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and implementing strategic initiatives to support student success. My educational journey includes a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, an Ed.M. in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from Harvard University, a B.B.A. in Banking and Finance from Mississippi State University, and an A.A. from Southwest Mississippi Community College. This diverse educational background, combined with my practical experience, equips me with a unique perspective and the ability to address complex and dynamic challenges in higher education.
