About David Grant-Roberts

I'm Chief Executive at Yorkshire’s Brain Tumour Charity (YBTC), where I’m proud to lead a brilliant team making a life-changing difference for people affected by brain tumours across Yorkshire. I joined YBTC in August 2023, building on over two decades of senior leadership experience. After a successful career as a commercial-sector CEO, I transitioned into the charity world in 2019 - driven by a commitment to making things better for people and communities. I’m currently completing a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership to complement my background in counselling (Level 5 DipHE), which has shaped my values-led, inclusive leadership style. Recent highlights at YBTC include developing our new Peer Support model, restructuring governance, launching our latest Impact Report, and building new partnerships across Yorkshire to strengthen our profile and fundraising. Originally from Newcastle, I’ve lived in Yorkshire since Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at St James’ Park with my two sons (we’re lifelong Magpies!) or being chased around the house by our three dogs – Bobby, Lola and Doris.
