About David Grzan

I am a recent graduate from the University of California - Davis with a Ph.D. in computational physics. My research included working on a tsunami simulator written in C++ and Python, where I was responsible for maintaining and adding functionality to the code. I also have experience in data analysis and machine learning, specifically using neural networks to predict flood maps using a tsunami database. During my undergraduate studies, I was involved in a particle physics research group at Fermilab, where I developed valuable programming and data analysis skills. I was responsible for writing scripts in C++ and bash, creating scatter plots and histograms of existing data, and maintaining and adding features to an existing data processing/analysis codebase. I also have experience with Monte Carlo simulations and developing scripts for data cleaning. I am eager to apply my skills and expertise in a data analysis or data science role.
