Background

About David H.

At a young age, I was interested with law due to my dad being a police officer and aunt being a lawyer so being me the most logical role for me in my future career was being a Credit Controller! Though this doesn't seem to be the think tank of 2 + 2 = 4, I have through-out my career been able to find links to younger David and that interest as well as being true to myself in being a very outgoing and friendly person. As a core value, I love helping others grow and take great pride in knowing I am giving something back as had good mentors taking an interest in my career as well as not letting people be treated unfairly. I also take mental health seriously. Within my roles as a Credit Controller, Team Manager, Debt Recoveries Manager and Training Lead plus being a Workplace Representative you see skills being linked with problem solving, communication and collaboration to name a few which ties in with my core value as well as see these roles as the conductor of an orchestra. The best bits of advice I have been given to me in my working career is: 🤝 Building strong networks and relationships achieve great results Any query can be resolved with great investigation There is no such thing as a silly thought and some of the best ideas come from these You're going to have ups and downs in your career so just imagine you're on a rollercoaster as who doesn't like a good thrill ride Outside work, I have many passions and interests which some might not make sense of, but it is because of these I feel that I can blend into any environment quickly and start being part of the furniture which has always been there. Sport wise, I am keen on football, cricket and golf which I ensure I spend quality time either watching or playing. I have rebuilt my interest in motor racing and tennis more so since meeting my wonderful wife as well as rugby union. I am a fan of Arts and Music where in my youth was part of two amateur dramatic groups as well as member of three bands from bass player to guitarist. I also like my Video Gaming. I also like places of interest as well as going to National Trust/English Heritage sites. Though priorities in life change, I still ensure I keep practicing the life and physical skills I learnt from these. Please feel free to reach out.
