About David Hanson

I have been working as a software engineer for over 25 years now and my passion for the industry and technology are greater than ever. During this time I have been fortunate to work on a number large scale enterprise applications for clients including Morgan Stanley, RBS, NatWest, Hiscox Insurance, The BBC, Russell Reynolds Associates, EMC, Fujitsu & The FA. I have experience of working on full lifecycle projects both agile and waterfall, working with team sizes that range from 3-60. I feel I bring a strong business acumen combined with an excellent technical appreciation to my roles. This has allowed me to work closely with business stakeholders and technical staff in order to deliver quality software, on time and on budget. I have a strong understanding of computing across multiple levels and disciplines. I consider myself an active individual when it comes to educating myself and spend a great deal of time evaluating new technologies, reading numerous technical articles, books, blogs and white papers on a range of subjects. Outside of work I’m a friendly outgoing person who enjoys making new friends and am easily approachable. I like to attend technology conferences and user groups. I also enjoy public speaking and have spoken at user groups in London on a variety topics. I’m currently a dad of two and live in East Grinstead.
