About David Hardillier

I have different skills as I worked in different fields. First of all, I am a telecommunication engineer. I used to worked as a support technician for different companies. I was working remotely on the systems as well as on site. For example, when I was working for SFR (one of the main french telecommunication operator), I was in charge of 400 servers. This experience allowed me to acquire knowledge in servers and computers settings, dealing with oracle databases, Java code but also switches and routers configurations. At that time, I also learned how to be efficient with office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) by creating macros or generating reports automatically I also worked in test laboratory for Samsung electronics. I was in charge of testing and sharing, with journalists of specialized tech press, the new models, the flagships released in France. This included TV, DVD players, cameras, sound system, laptops and hard drives. I was working closely with engineers in South Korea but also with labs in France or UK. Then, in a second part of my career, I used to work as a cameraman, film maker, photographer and set manager for the television as cinema and photography are my passions. Those two experiences in my career brought me a lot of experiences not only technically speaking but also concerning the team work, the project leading and the discovering of new cultures and approaches in the work. Indeed, I did not work only in France: I had a student experience in Finland for 5 months, I worked in an International environment, for Tekelec and Samsung, and I spent 2 years in Myanmar as an IT manager for an International School. I am now in Canada to continue to learn, improve my skills but also to share them in new exciting projects.
