About David Hayat

With twenty years of experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, I wish to apply the skills learned through experience and further enhance them in a thriving industrial sector. Throughout the primary years of my professional experience, which were mainly production-oriented, I got to appreciate and eventually master most of the manufacturing process (digitally controlled turning, three and five–axis milling, stamping as well as three and six-axis waterjet cutting). In I joined a company (LDM SA), specializing in the design of plastic injection molds for prototyping. This was an extremely formative experience, where I became familiar with the various CAM_CAD tools, but also where I leraned how to work in project mode having to interface with all company stakeholders in the project (mostly methods, mold manufacturing and injection workshops). In the last ten years, based at PSA Peugeot Citroen Head Office, I held the position of R&D expert in design with the department in charge for seat conception, I was an integral part of the team on various projects (1007, 207SW, Kangoo, Berlingo/Partner, 508 and 108/C1/AYGO) with responsibilities for-Monitoring the development of the seat project- Seconding the seats project lead manager interface with suppliers- Ensuring that the technical design could be translated into an acceptable physical design, taking into account manufacturing constraints; Since January 2012, I have been part of the innovation department of PSA at Head Office, working closely with product architects, bringing my experience to innovations that will set the path for tomorrow’s developments. I have proven in the past that I am flexible and reactive enough to integrate a team or project quickly. Being an organized a rigorous person has helped me to take great care to planning constraints, economic considerations as well as quality issues requirements in the development of any project.
