About David Hayes

David C. Hayes consults as a forensic behavioralist and criminologist as well as teaches and designs collegiate courses in psychology, English, and communications both remotely and on-ground. His academic research, outside of crime and media, has recently focused on higher education in prison settings. He is a doctoral candidate in forensic psychology with Walden University and also teaches communications and psychology for law enforcement organizations and within the Michigan Department of Corrections. He is a licensed professional investigator in the State of Michigan. David consults with individuals, families, and law enforcement organizations in terms of cold case homicides offering case analyses. He is an award-winning screenwriter, novelist, and educator as well as a long-tenured communications professional. David has written extensively about film and pop culture history with a focus on their intersection with crime. He is the president of The Livingston County Literacy Coalition, a non-profit adult tutoring service, and serves on the board of the Livingston Diversity Council in addition to his work with Rotary International and the Brighton Masonic Lodge #247. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Michigan Psychological Association, Psi Chi, The Society of Police and Criminal Psychologists, and various alumni associations.
