Background

About David Hayhurst

As the Senior Inclusion Manager at the English Football League (EFL), I lead and support a dedicated Inclusion team committed to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion across all levels of the game. My role involves strategic oversight and operational delivery of key inclusion initiatives, including the EFL’s discrimination reporting process, the Together education programmes, the iRecruit candidate management system, and the implementation of the Equality Code of Practice across EFL clubs. With a strong focus on collaboration, I work closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive meaningful change, ensure accountability, and promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all involved in football both on and off the pitch.
