I am a Chartered Building Services Engineer leading the Smart Buildings team in the Arup Dublin office. I pride myself in providing clients a high quality of service delivering holistic design solutions to meet their needs, on time and on budget. My areas of expertise include leading the design, delivery and management of projects across various business sectors including- Smart / Digital Buildings - Commercial property developments - Social infrastructure / Public Sector projects - Data Centre Design - Building Envelope Physics I have keen interest in the rapidly developing technological advancements currently taking place within the construction industry such as digital building integration, IoT, control systems and smart building enablement to provide highly flexible spaces focused on meeting the occupants ever changing needs via the use of technology. I believe that to achieve global sustainability aspirations required to combat climate change and natural resource depletion that data driven decisions making within the Commercial Real Estate industry is the key to optimise building energy efficiency. One of my key skillsets is the holistic and collaborative approach that I take to working with project partners, always striving to achieve the best outcome for the client by engaging in open communication wherever possible and implementing the knowledge acquired from my Project Management diploma from TCD to utalise best in practice project management methodologies and tools to deliver projects that are aligned with the clients key performance indicators. Other areas of interest include machine learning and fault detection diagnostics within the buildings, stakeholder engagement and User Experience Design and the advancements being made in building integrated renewable energy technologies to drive building design towards net zero energy and beyond.
