About David Henderson

David Henderson has been involved with Knowledge Management efforts at Y-12 since 2004, handling solution development and resource direction for the capture, transfer, and preservation of critical skills knowledge. In 2010 the Knowledge Preservation Management (KPM) team was designated the NSE Center of Excellence for Knowledge Preservation. Since 2010, David has played an instrumental role in bringing the KPM solution and related Knowledge Preservation Program (KPP) methodology to a more DOE-global audience, resulting in a 2016 Technology Support Award for being an advocate for innovation for the CNS Technology Transfer group. Current efforts continue to expand KPM/KPP scope for core missions at Y-12 and Pantex while buildings external customers at LANL, SRS, DOE, NNSA, and multiple entities within DOD Naval Intelligence, Shipyards, and Warfare Centers. Outside of work for DOE, David is co-owner of Samurai Dragons teaching traditional martial arts classes focused on Okinawan Karate, Kobudo, and Special Weapons Training. David also worked for over a decade as an Extrication Specialist, Urban Search and Rescue Trainer, and Water Rescue Team Captain for the Knoxville Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad (KVERS).
