About David Hewkin

I am an Accountant currently working as the Finance Manager for Butser Rubber Ltd, a manufacturer of customised rubber mouldings. My role also includes bringing a wealth of operational experience to assist in the growth and development of the company to provide a world class service to its customers. Previous employment included the UK branch of Crane Composites Inc specialising in the manufacture of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), and Star Point Electrics Ltd which designed and manufactured components for the Gaming and Vending industries. I have gained over 20 years of work experience within the accounting and financial environment; this experience includes accounts preparation work, financial and management accounting, and statutory auditing. Alongside my financial experience I have been involved in ERP systems installations and have advanced IT skills, including Novell Netware. I have been heavily involved in HR issues in my current position, and deputised as Plant manager for a period of 3 months whilst the position was being filled. In addition I have been part of the senior management team in my current and previous position, and have developed a keen commercial awareness, along with many key manufacturing tools and skills.
